FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE APFABRICATIONS TAKES FINAL LEAP IN FABRICATION OF BIODIESEL PLANTS
STUTTGART, AR, June 9, 2008 --/WORLD-WIRE/-- APFabrications of Stuttgart, Arkansas, has taken the final step toward self-sufficiency in its production of biodiesel facilities. After undergoing an extensive review process by the Boiler Inspector for the State of Arkansas and on-site joint reviews by a committee appointed by American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), the company has now become an ASME Certified Shop. APFabrications has been granted not only its Power Piping stamp, but also the ASME U Div. I stamp and the National Board’s “R” stamp.
By attaining the Power Piping stamp, APFabrications in now certified to manufacture piping and make connections to all types of power boilers. Its new U Div. I stamp now allows APFabrications to manufacture its own pressure vessels in-house in its fabrication facility in Stuttgart. The “R” stamp, which is given by the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors, allows APFabrications to now perform its own repairs to pressure vessels. APFabrications specializes in skid-based process equipment and has built and installed more than 13 biodiesel plants around the United States, with 5 more in the works. They have machine shop capabilities and fabrication and welding capabilities to cut and form raw materials into tanks and pressure vessels to suit every customer’s needs. In addition, they have certified crews available to install process equipment and piping at sites away from the shop. “Having these certifications certainly adds to our ability to fully service clients internally”, says Mike Shook, co-owner of APFabrications and its design and engineering sister company, APInnovations. “Our Stuttgart fabrication facility can now build, install, and repair not only the biodiesel standard piping and tanks, but now can do all the pressurized work in-house as well”, says Shook. Partner and co-owner, Steve Danforth, adds that “this certification also opens a variety of new fabrication possibilities both in biodiesel and in other arenas”. Danforth and Shook are engineers with 50 years of combined experience in oil processing. Biodiesel production is one division of APInnovations’ business. They have clients on six continents and are recognized experts in the industry. APInnovations, Inc., 1000 South Main Street, Stuttgart, AR 72160. (870.673.3030) www.apinnovations.com |
