Narendra Modi Government

Delhi violence updates: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Thursday answered the opposition’s questions on the issue of Delhi violence by presenting the government’s view in the Rajya Sabha.

He said that so far, more than 700 FIRs have been registered against Delhi violence. The police seize all the weapons, including both natural and automatic.

More than 40 teams have been formed to arrest the accused.
The Union Home Minister once again repeated that any troublemaker involved in the Delhi violence would not be spared … irrespective of any caste, religion, community, or party.

He said that the culprits of violence would be punished in such a way that those who think of rioting will fear the authority.

The Union Home Minister said that before the 24th, a message was received through agencies that money had been issued to Delhi from not only the country but also from abroad.

It was under research that there existed riots in Delhi. So far, five people have been arrested in connection with the nuisance funding.

The question was asked by the opposition on how many social media accounts the government closed. I want to tell the House that hundreds of social media accounts have been closed.

Not only this, but some social media accounts were also created on 22 February just before the violence and disturbances, and were closed on 26 February after the loss.

Those who operate these accounts will be monitoring me today. If they feel that they will survive, then I should make it clear that the police will find them from the bottom.

On the transfer of Delhi High Court Judge S. Muralidhar, the Union Home Minister said that the government only takes decisions and recommends the Supreme Court orders.

The recommendation regarding the transfer of the judiciary came only on 12 February, and the order was issued later, It was a routine transfer.

The transfer has nothing to do with this issue. The judge’s permission in this regard is also on record. I want to ask the opposition whatever is the way that only one judge can do justice, what injustice do the other judges do?
There are so many judges in the country, but few judges judge… what kind of mindset it is.

Shah said that I should make it clear that CAA won’t stop in India … It is not a law to grant citizenship but to take citizenship.

NPR also has the option of giving or not giving information. No document will be sought from any citizen in NPR.

You do not need to provide only the information that you have. No citizen of the country needs to fear NPR.

The Union Home Minister said that we have also requested the Chief Justice of Delhi High Court for the Lieutenant Governor to appoint a Claim Commissioner so that the property of the miscreants involved in the riots can be seized.

Taking a dig at the opposition, Shah said, “I am the home minister of the country … Suggest all the questions that I have to ask, but do not question the Delhi Police.”

The Delhi Police has done its job with full vigor. The Delhi Police did not allow this violence to spread beyond the 13 percent population. Questioning the police makes its moral fall.

Shah said that videos of a knife attacker on Ankit Sharma are available. His voice is also available. He is under arrest by the Delhi Police.

So far, more than 700 FIRs have been registered in Delhi violence. The weapons recovered by the police include both indigenous and automatic.

More than 40 teams have been formed to capture the accused. Shah said that anyone found guilty in the investigation will not be spared at any cost, whether it belongs to any caste, religion, community, or party.

More than 1100 people involved in the Delhi violence have been identified so far. Three hundred thirty-six people came from Uttar Pradesh to carry out this violence. We also have evidence of this.

On the charge of Trinamool Congress MP Derek O’Brien that the software being used to identify the rioters threatens to disturb the privacy of the people.

The Union Home Minister said that I want to make it clear that Aadhar is not being used to identify miscreants involved in violence.

Driving license and voter ID are being used to identify people involved in the violence. Some media reports yesterday mistakenly mentioned the Aadhaar card.

Shah targeted the leaders of the opposition, saying that someone’s life was lost, someone was disabled, someone’s House was burnt … and you talk about privacy.

The police should have so much authority that the person who has committed the riot should stand in front of the court and get severe punishment.
