In his letter to party president Sonia Gandhi, he said that he had been a primary member of Congress for 18 years, but now the time has come to separate the path.

He has tendered his resignation to Congress President Sonia Gandhi. Now he is ready to join BJP. However, in response, Congress has also dismissed Jyotiraditya from the party.
He accused Sonia of not doing anything even after knowing everything. He wrote, ‘I am resigning from the primary membership of the Indian National Congress and as you are well aware that this path has been paved for the last one year.’
Even today, I remain constant in my aim and objective of protecting the people of my state and country.
