T-Mobile has deployed its emergency response team to the Boulder Wildfire in Oregon’s Mount Hood National Forest. Emergency Response has set up a base at the Tigh Valley Spike Camp to boost network capacity for brave responders.

To be clear, T-Mo’s network was not affected by the wildfires. Its teams were deployed on-site to expand the network to 324 users. As such, it can provide over 414GB of open and secure Wi-Fi to crews assisting in delivering supplies and managing the command post. These responders are also able to download maps in real time.

T-Mobile is providing critical cell service to first responders battling the Oregon Boulder wildfire, which has burned over 30,000 acres and forced thousands to evacuate. The company is deploying generators to keep cell towers running and providing hotspots for first responders.
