High risk press release distribution covers brands that many newswires restrict or decline: alcohol, vape and e-cigarettes, CBD, iGaming, supplements and similar legal but regulated products. World Wire All Access is built for these categories and distributes a release to 400+ outlets for $49. Below we compare it with niche publishers such as Vaping360 and BevNET, list the verified bans on general wires, and give you a compliance checklist.
- World Wire All Access distributes legal high-risk press releases to 400+ outlets for $49, with about 15M combined traffic and a live link report.
- EIN Presswire bans tobacco, nicotine and vaping promotion, and 24-7 Press Release bans e-liquid, e-cigarette and vaping releases.
- Vaping360 publishes a press release price of €750, and BevNET and Brewbound run self-serve portals for beverage and beer news.
- Every high-risk release should handle age gating, health warnings and jurisdiction rules before it is submitted.
Why high-risk brands struggle to get distribution
Alcohol, vape and other regulated products sit in what we call VUCA markets: volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous. Rules change by country and state, advertising standards differ by platform, and a single misleading claim can create legal exposure for both the brand and the publisher.
Many general wires respond with blanket category bans rather than case-by-case review. That leaves legitimate companies, such as a licensed distillery, a regulated vape retailer or a CBD brand selling where it is legal, without a clear channel. For the wider picture, see our overview of VUCA industries and PR.
Where you cannot go: verified wire restrictions
These restrictions come from each provider's published guidelines or terms:
- EIN Presswire: bans promotion of tobacco or nicotine products including vaping and e-cigarettes, and promotion of firearm sales. It also excludes any health supplement content and online gambling. Source: EIN Presswire editorial guidelines.
- 24-7 Press Release: "We do not publish releases that promote or link to e-liquids, e-cigarettes, or vaping products." It also rejects online gambling and sports betting. Source: 24-7 Press Release content guidelines.
- IssueWire: terms prohibit alcohol, CBD and illegal drugs, adult content, online gambling and health supplement content.
- Send2Press: excludes cannabis and CBD products, gambling, forex, and "guns, ammo, or supplies".
- PRWeb: has no alcohol or vape rule on its guidelines page, and "Beers, Wines and Spirits" and "Tobacco" exist as site categories. It does bar false or misleading health claims.
Outside IssueWire, we did not find alcohol-specific bans in the published guidelines of the wires we checked. Alcohol brands mainly face general rules on misleading claims and editorial discretion.
How we compared
We assessed each option on:
- Price transparency.
- Outlet quality (named outlets, Domain Rating and traffic).
- Acceptance rules for alcohol, vape and other sensitive categories.
- Report quality and live links.
- Indexing support.
- Turnaround.

The best high risk press release distribution services
1. World Wire All Access: best overall for high-risk brands
All Access is World Wire's package for sensitive and high-risk industries. It accepts legal releases in categories that traditional newswires often reject: crypto, Web3, NFTs, DeFi, iGaming, casinos, betting, forex and trading, CBD, supplements, alcohol and other legal niches.
Price: $49 per release, paid in credits that never expire, with no subscription or membership.
What you get
- Distribution to 400+ outlets with about 15M combined traffic.
- Relaxed guidelines for legal VUCA niches, with human editorial review.
- Publication in about 10 hours.
- A live report listing each outlet with its URL, Domain Rating, monthly traffic estimate and audience countries.
- Credits returned if editors decline the release.
Add "Indexing for all links" for $3.90 so each placement is submitted for indexing as it goes live. Browse real examples on the sample reports page.
Also useful for high-risk brands: UltraSEO ($35) may accept sensitive topics and gives 100% dofollow links, and Podcast ($49) turns your release into an episode on Spotify and Apple Podcasts, where sensitive topics may also be approved.
Limitations: All Access is for legal products only. World Wire never accepts illegal products, misleading health or financial claims, or negative press about third parties. It does not include journalist pitching or a media database, and pickup on outlets outside the package is not guaranteed. Whether vape releases are accepted depends on editorial review of the specific content, so check the editorial guidelines first.
2. Vaping360
Vaping360 is one of very few outlets we found with a published vape press release price.
- Price: press release €750 (up to 3 business days, top-of-News placement, scheduling). A sponsored review costs €2,500, and paying "does not in any way guarantee a positive review".
- Limitations: a single outlet; age gating and PMTA rules are not stated on the page.
- Best for: vape brands that want an endemic audience.
3. BevNET and Brewbound
BevNET and Brewbound run self-serve press release portals with a Basic option (1 image, 1 link) and a Promoted option (more images, scheduling and placement in a Promoted section). Brewbound covers beer, while BevNET coverage includes spirits, wine and ready-to-drink (RTD) beverages.
- Price: not published.
- Best for: beverage and alcohol brands that want trade visibility with buyers and distributors.
4. TS Newswire (for iGaming)
TS Newswire runs the most explicit published iGaming compliance process we found: licence verification for each target market, a responsible-gambling disclosure check, bonus and odds claim verification, and routing only to outlets that carry gambling content. Its pricing page lists Starter $149, Business $349 and Premium $649, but a company blog post says iGaming packages "start at $299", so confirm the price.
- Best for: licensed operators that want documented compliance review. See also our iGaming and casino press release guide.
5. Ganjapreneur (for cannabis)
Ganjapreneur charges $300 for a website announcement, $550 to add a week in its daily newsletter (about 150K deliveries) and $750 to add Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram. Payment comes after approval.
- Best for: cannabis businesses targeting industry professionals. See our CBD and cannabis comparison.
Compliance checklist for alcohol, vape and high-risk releases
Rules vary by country, state and platform, so treat this as a general checklist and confirm the specifics with your legal adviser.
- Age gating. Link only to pages that verify age where the law in your target market requires it, and state the legal age where appropriate.
- Health warnings. Include any warning that your market requires for your product category, such as nicotine warnings on vape products.
- Jurisdiction. State where the product is legally sold, and do not target markets where you are not licensed or where the product is banned.
- No health or wellness claims you cannot substantiate. Avoid language that suggests safety, cures or benefits.
- No appeal to minors. Avoid cartoon imagery, youth slang or placements aimed at young audiences.
- Responsible messaging. Alcohol and gambling releases benefit from a responsible consumption or play line.
- Accurate business details. Include licences where relevant, a dateline and an About boilerplate with your registered company name.
Why indexing matters for restricted brands
High-risk brands often cannot buy search ads or social ads in their category. Earned and distributed coverage then carries more of the visibility load. A placement that is not indexed cannot rank or be cited by AI answer engines, so the $3.90 indexing add-on is especially valuable when other channels are closed.
Bottom line
High risk press release distribution works best with a service built to accept your category, plus a clean compliance check before you submit. World Wire All Access covers alcohol, CBD, supplements and other legal niches across 400+ outlets for $49, while Vaping360, BevNET and Brewbound add endemic trade audiences. Compare packages on the pricing page and browse the sample reports to see live placements before you order.
