The short version: you buy a package, which gives you release credits. You submit a release, our editors review it, and once it is approved we distribute it to the network included in your package, usually within 24 to 48 hours. You are responsible for what your release says. We guarantee distribution, not that every publisher keeps your story online forever. The full terms below are what actually apply.
1. About these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and WGT LLP ("we", "us" or "our"), the operator of World Wire and the website at https://world-wire.com/ (the "Site"). They apply whenever you browse the Site, create an account, place an order or use any of our services.
If you use World Wire on behalf of a company, agency or other organisation, you confirm that you are authorised to accept these Terms for that organisation, and "you" refers to both you and that organisation.
By creating an account or placing an order, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Refund Policy and our Editorial Guidelines, which are all part of this agreement. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site or our services.
2. Our services
World Wire provides the following services (together, the "Services"):
- Press release distribution — distribution of your release to the network of publishers, news sites and partner channels described in the package you buy, sold per release or as multi-release bundles.
- Press release writing — drafting of a release by our writers based on the information you provide.
- Specialty packages — targeted distribution and listings for particular sectors, including SaaS directory submissions, Crypto and Web3 packages, and Finance packages.
- Guaranteed placement and reputation management — custom campaigns priced by individual quote. Any additional terms for these campaigns will be set out in the written quote, and that quote takes priority over these Terms where the two conflict.
Package contents, outlet lists and prices are shown on our pricing page at the time you order. We may update our packages and partner networks from time to time. If a publisher in your package becomes unavailable, we will make reasonable efforts to substitute an outlet of comparable reach or quality.
3. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a legally binding contract to open an account.
- You agree to give us accurate, current and complete information and to keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us promptly at [email protected] if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.
- Accounts are personal to the account holder or organisation. You may not sell, transfer or share your account or credits with another party without our written consent.
- Agencies may submit releases for their clients, provided the agency has the client's permission and accepts responsibility for the content under these Terms.
4. Orders and credits
When you buy a distribution package, your account is credited with one or more release "credits". Each credit can be used to submit one press release for distribution through the network included in that package. A credit from one package cannot be used for a different package, and credits cannot be exchanged for cash except as described in our Refund Policy.
An order is accepted when payment has been confirmed and the credits appear in your dashboard. We may decline or cancel any order at our discretion, for example if we suspect fraud, if pricing was displayed incorrectly, or if the intended use clearly falls outside our Editorial Guidelines. If we cancel a paid order, we will refund the amount paid.
Writing services and custom quotes are delivered as described in the order or quote. Unless otherwise stated, a writing order includes one draft and a reasonable round of revisions.
5. Credit expiry
Credits are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Unused credits expire automatically at the end of that period and have no further value. The expiry date of your credits is shown in your dashboard. We may, at our discretion, extend expiry in individual cases, but we are not obliged to do so.
6. Your content and responsibilities
You are solely responsible for the content you submit, including text, headlines, quotes, images, logos, links and contact details ("Your Content"). By submitting Your Content, you confirm that:
- it is accurate, not misleading, and does not leave out facts needed to make it not misleading;
- you own it or have all necessary rights, licences and permissions to publish it, including permission from any person quoted or pictured;
- it does not infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity or other rights;
- it does not defame anyone or contain unlawful, harmful or prohibited material as described in our Editorial Guidelines;
- it complies with all laws and regulations that apply to you and to the subject matter, including advertising, consumer protection, financial promotion and securities rules; and
- any quoted person has approved the quote attributed to them.
Press releases are public statements. You understand that once a release is published, it may be copied, indexed, syndicated, archived and shared by third parties beyond our control.
7. Editorial review and our rights
Every release is reviewed by our editorial team before distribution. We may, at our sole discretion:
- make minor edits for grammar, spelling, formatting, style and length without changing the meaning of the release;
- ask you to make changes before we approve the release;
- remove links, images or other elements that do not meet our guidelines or a publisher's requirements; or
- reject a release that does not meet our Editorial Guidelines or that we believe could expose us, our partners or the public to legal, reputational or other risk.
Approval by our editors is not a legal review and does not mean we endorse or have verified the claims in your release. Each publisher in our network keeps full editorial control over its own site and may decline, edit, re-categorise, or later remove any content in line with its own policies.
8. Delivery and placement reports
After your release is approved, distribution normally begins within 24 to 48 hours, or at the scheduled time you select if your package supports scheduling. These timings are estimates and may be longer around public holidays, during periods of high demand, or for specialty and custom packages.
When distribution is complete, we will provide a placement report in your dashboard listing live links to the outlets where your release appeared. Our commitment is to distribute your release to the network included in your package. We do not guarantee:
- that every outlet will keep your release online indefinitely, or in a particular position, section or format;
- any specific number of views, clicks, leads, search rankings or media pick-ups; or
- that journalists will write original coverage about your news.
If a placement in your report is not live at the time the report is delivered, contact us within 30 days and we will investigate and, where appropriate, arrange a resubmission or replacement placement.
9. Payments
All prices are shown in US dollars unless stated otherwise. Payment is due in full at the time of order, unless a written quote states different terms. We accept:
- credit and debit cards, processed by Stripe;
- PayPal; and
- selected cryptocurrencies, processed by NOWPayments or Coinbase Commerce.
Payments are handled by these third-party processors under their own terms. We do not receive or store your full card number. You are responsible for any bank, card, exchange or blockchain network fees charged by your provider. For crypto payments, the amount due is fixed in US dollars at checkout; you must send the exact amount requested within the payment window, and underpaid or late payments may need to be completed or will be refunded under our Refund Policy.
Prices do not include any sales tax, VAT or similar taxes unless stated. Where we are required to collect such taxes, they will be added at checkout.
10. Chargebacks and payment disputes
If you have a problem with an order, please contact us at [email protected] first; most issues can be resolved quickly. If you open a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting us, or for a service that has already been delivered, we may suspend your account and any unused credits while the dispute is open. If a dispute is decided in our favour, we may recover any fees we incurred. Filing a chargeback in bad faith for a service you received is a breach of these Terms.
11. Refunds
Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In summary, unused credits may be refunded within 30 days of purchase, but once distribution of a release has started, the credit used for that release is not refundable.
12. Intellectual property
Your content. You keep ownership of Your Content. You grant WGT LLP and our distribution partners a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sub-licensable licence to host, copy, edit for format and style, translate where offered, publish, distribute, display and archive Your Content for the purpose of providing the Services and promoting the release. This licence continues for as long as the release remains published by us or our partners, and you understand that copies already distributed to third parties cannot be recalled.
Written-for-you content. When we write a release for you, once you have paid in full, we assign to you our rights in the final approved text. We may keep a copy for our records and to provide the Services.
Our materials. The Site, our brand, logos, software, templates, reports and other materials belong to WGT LLP or our licensors. You may use our published templates to prepare your own releases, but you may not copy, resell or redistribute our Site or materials without our written permission.
13. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Services for any unlawful, fraudulent or deceptive purpose;
- submit content prohibited by our Editorial Guidelines;
- impersonate any person or organisation, or misrepresent your affiliation with anyone;
- interfere with the Site, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, or scrape it by automated means; or
- use the Services to send spam or to manipulate search engines in breach of their published policies.
14. Disclaimer of warranties
We provide the Services with reasonable care and skill. Apart from that, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, the Site and Services are provided "as is" and "as available", and we make no other warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any release will achieve a particular business, media or search result. Third-party publishers and payment processors are independent, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions.
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive losses, or for any loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill, data or opportunity, even if we were told such losses were possible; and
- our total liability arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Services, whatever the cause, is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific order that gave rise to the claim in the 12 months before the claim arose.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
16. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless WGT LLP, its partners, officers, employees, contractors and distribution partners from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) Your Content; (b) your breach of these Terms; or (c) your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.
17. Suspension and termination
You may close your account at any time by contacting [email protected]. Any refund of unused credits will be handled under our Refund Policy.
We may suspend or close your account, withhold or cancel distribution, or ask partners to remove a published release, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms or our Editorial Guidelines, if required by law or a valid legal request, or if your use of the Services creates risk for us, our partners or others. Where an account is closed for a serious or repeated breach, unused credits may be forfeited.
Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including those on content responsibility, intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law, will continue to apply after your account is closed.
18. Takedown and correction requests
If you need a correction or removal of a release after distribution, contact us. We will pass reasonable requests on to our partners, but because publishers control their own sites, we cannot guarantee that every copy will be updated or removed. Additional fees may apply for correction re-distribution. If you believe a release distributed through World Wire infringes your rights, please write to [email protected] with details, and we will review it promptly.
19. Governing law and disputes
These Terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which WGT LLP is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The courts of that jurisdiction will have exclusive jurisdiction, unless mandatory consumer protection law where you live gives you the right to bring proceedings locally. Before starting any formal proceedings, both parties agree to try in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days.
20. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page shows when they were last changed. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to let you know, such as by email or a notice in your dashboard. Changes apply from the date they are posted and do not affect orders already placed. If you keep using the Services after changes take effect, you accept the updated Terms.
21. General
- If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest will remain in effect.
- Our failure to enforce any right is not a waiver of that right.
- You may not assign your rights under these Terms without our consent. We may assign ours to a successor business.
- We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
- These Terms, together with the policies referred to in them and any written quote, are the entire agreement between you and us about the Services.
