The Tampa Convention Center is a medium-sized convention center located in downtown Tampa, Florida, at the mouth of the Hillsborough River. It has waterfront views of Tampa Bay and the city’s skyline. Harbour Island is around the eponymous bridge opposite the Garrison Channel. The place is linked to the adjoined Channelside district and Ybor city through the TECO line Streetcar, which has a station beyond the street. Tampa Convention Center was established in October 1990 and covered 600,000 Square feet. It consists of a 2,00,000 Square feet exhibit hall, a ballroom capable of accommodating over 2000 guests, and 36 meeting cabins that can be adjusted to various sizes—the facility hosts over 300 events annually.

The Tampa Convention Center is located at 333 SS Franklin St, Tampa, FL 33602, United States. As one of the supreme conference establishments in the Southeast, the venue fascinates countless people yearly, which means numerous drivers looking to park their vehicles safely. The Center is fortunate to have many parking options located in close vicinity. Parking is available in parking garages north and east of the Center. The Tampa Convention Center Parking Garage gateway is approachable from the corner of Borein St. and Tampa Street. Daily parking is now “pay by plate” by operating the ParkMobile app.

 Event Rate: Flat rate varying from $5.00 to $12.00, depending on the occasions

Rate:$1.60 per hour up to 5 hours, over 5 hours flat $9.50 per day

1.Tampa Convention Center Garage: At 141 E, Borein St.

 The Tampa Convention Center garage is a 465 -space covered parking garage with ten accessible parking areas and one electric vehicle charging station.

The entrance to this Garage is placed on the far side of the Convention at the intersection of Tampa St., and Borein St. Once parked, people will exit onto Channelside Drive and use the crosswalk to reach the Franklin St.entry.

For event flat rate parking, you will repay upon arrival or need to pull an entry ticket and keep it to pay at the pay station before running to your vehicle. The pay station will drop a paid ticket, which you must verify at the ticket machine upon exiting the Garage.

You should note that this Garage may fill quickly in significant events. Therefore, you can consider one of the alternative options below:

 2. Pam Iorio Parking Garage (Formerly South Regional)

This Garage is at 201 Channelside Drive with the entry on Florida Avenue and Morgan Street. It usually costs $2.00 per hour unless a special event is nearby. This parking offers ample parking with 790 hourly spaces, 350 monthly contracted spaces marked with reserved, and two Electric Vehicle Charging Stations. This parking garage is middle of the Tampa Convention Center and Amalie Arena.

To visit the Pam Iorio Parking Garage from Franklin Street. From Franklin Street, keep left to follow the signs to Convention Center parking on Channelside Dr. 

Once reached on Channelside Dr., take the first right onto S Florida Ave and turn left into the Pam Iorio parking garage entrance.

This Garage may encounter higher traffic when there is an event at Amalie Arena.

 3. Fort Brooke Garage

This parking is a few blocks north of the Convention Center, behind the Hyatt, and between Franklin St. and Florida Avenue. It charges $2.00 per hour and in special events can range from $5.00 to $50.00.

The Fort Brooke Garage offers 556 hourly parking slots and is about 0.3 miles from the Tampa Convention Center. As this parking area is a bit further than the above two options, it experiences the least amount of traffic, making it easy for drivers to get in and out quickly.

The Tampa Streetcar offers Free transportation to or from the building to the Garage. People can take the streetcar from stop #11, located outer to the Garage at the corner of Whiting St and Franklin St, to stop #10, Dick Greco Plaza, present outside the Center.

  4. Disability parking  

The city of Tampa Parking Division is committed to meeting the Americans with Disabilities Act guidelines for accessible parking. There are accessible parking garages and 33 designated on-street areas in Tampa’s downtown for people with disabilities. Two of these spaces can be seen in the Tampa Convention Center circle drive and 34 other metered parking spaces.

For off-street parking, people can find designated disability parking spaces in the city of Tampa garages, including the Tampa convention garage. Suppose the disabled driver needs assistance or qualifies for the Florida Toll exemption. In that case, they can use the call button and phone number on each Central Pay Station device and ExpressParc Exit Station device.

 5. Park and Ride 

 For significant events, parking will be limited in Tampa’s Downtown. In this case, you can park at the Port of Tampa Bay Garage in the Channel District or a City of Tampa garage in Ybor.
