The movie is about child suicide bombers in Afghanistan who have been trained to believe that killing the enemy is a virtue and glory in the afterlife. The movie’s official announcement was made in the year 2016 when it was announced that the team would officially make Torbaaz.
The formal photography for the film, however, began in 2017 and was shot in Afghanistan. The film is majorly shot in Bishkek, the capital city of Kyrgyzstan, making Torbaaz the first Indian movie to be shot in that particular area. The 40 days schedule of the film was scheduled in Kyrgyzstan and Mumbai and was completed in November 2018, later the third schedule for the movie was then shot in Spiti, Manali, and Punjab on the 3rd of April 2019.
The audience is very excited to see Sanjay Dutt play the lead role and see him sharing space with the female lead of the movie Nargis Fakhri.
