Demon Slayer Spin-Off Manga Release Date, Plot, And Other Details: Ryoji Hirano will publish the spin-off manga of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba. The short spin-off manga was announced earlier this year in the weekly Shounen Jump. The spin-off manga will be titled KimetsunoYaiba: Rengoku Gaiden. The manga will focus on The Flame Hashira: Kyōjurō Rengoku. Demon Slayer has a massive fanbase among the manga readers. In 2019, Demon Slayer manga was Shounen Jump’s second-highest selling manga after One Piece. Kyoujurou is a fan-favorite character, and everyone wanted to see more of him. I think the writers heard all the pleas of the fans and gave them what they wanted.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Plot

The story revolves around Kanjuro. Whose sister, Nezuko, becomes a demon because of an attack that results in the death of the whole family of Kamado Tanjiro, and only Nezuko survives, but she becomes a demon. Tanjiro and Nezuko then set out on a journey to cure Nezuko, and in his path, he has to beat Muzan, the most powerful demon of all. Tanjiro joins the Demon Slayer Corps, and now he has to face many obstacles to save his sister from this curse.

Kimetsu no Yaiba: Rengoku Gaiden Plot

The manga will focus on Kyōjurō Rengoku and his journey. We have seen some glimpses of his life before becoming a Hashira in the prominent manga. But this manga will focus on that only. We might be able to see more of his Breathing Technique here. It might be a story about his family and his upbringing. Or it might show us the story of how he became a Hashira.
The manga will only consist of 2 chapters. So, don’t get your hopes up thinking we will get some deep things related to Kyōjurō Rengoku. One thing confirmed is that we will get the story of Rengoku’s first mission in a One-Shot.

Kimetsu no Yaiba: Rengoku Gaiden Release Date

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train will hit the Japanese theatres on October 16, 2020. People who will watch the movie in theatres will get an exclusive “Rengoku Volume 0” manga volume. They will also receive the 44th issue of Weekly Shounen Jump magazine, including the one-shot of Rengoku’s first mission. The one-shot will consist of 19 pages. So, we can say that the manga will be available to read a few days after the movie’s release.
