14 ACP Replacement Programs Praised by Joe Biden

As the Affordable Connectivity Program ended on 31 May, many providers have developed replacement programs to continue providing affordable internet services to low-income people.

On Friday, in a white house press release, President Joe Biden praised 14 service providers for their ACP replacement program and their commitment to bridging the digital gap.

President Biden said in a press release, “President Biden remains committed to doing everything possible to ensure families continue to access affordable high-speed internet,”

“Today, the White House highlights voluntary commitments to customers from over a dozen internet service providers to offer plans at $30 or less to low-income households through 2024, so that families across America can continue accessing low-cost internet.” He added.

Here is a list of providers that are offering ACP replacement programs.

All of these providers are offering benefits for low-income new and existing eligible customers.

Until now, ACP used to offer $30 on monthly internet services and a $100 ACP discount on the purchase of tablets, laptops, and desktop computers.

Although ACP has ended, President Biden is doing all he can to get the funding for ACP.

Biden-Harris Administration is continuously pursuing Congress to release more funding for the ACP program.

Not just ACP, The $42.45 billion Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) Program, which is funded by the President’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, is already working to provide low-cost plans to communities and people they connect.

Please note that while ACP was active the $30 discount use to make internet services completely free.

However, with these ACP replacement program offered by service provider low income customers will get services by paying as low as $10 per month.
