“Backstreet Rookie” is hilarious yet at times emotional Korean drama that is based on the 2016-2017 webtoon Convenience Store Saet-byul written by Hwalhwasan and illustrated by Geumsagong. It is the first Korean drama to have invested by the global channel Lifetime, and it is the iQYI original series. Let us get to know more about the upcoming Backstreet Rookie episode 9.

When the lead character in the series Choi Dae-Hyun walks through an alley after being dumped by his girlfriend comes across three girls. Those three girls also include our female lead character Jung Saet-Byul who thinks that he is cute and asks him to buy a pack of cigarettes from the local convenience store. But instead, he gets them a box of candies, and Jung Saet-Byul gets more smitten by his gesture and kisses him.
Then the series takes a gap of 3 years, and later Choi Dae-Hyun manages to take care of his family through the convenience store. Many girls smitten by him come to the store to click pictures with him, but the store still wasn’t working that great. Choi Dae-Hyun decides to put a part-time worker needed a sign, and what happens next is something we will know. Jung Saet-Byul sometime during the same night sees the sign and walks in through the door; she is now an adult and applies for the job.
What starts as a love story, is very different once the episodes commence further. You will get to see how the characters face different challenges and grow as adults. You will see a love angle, of course, but will also see the struggles and emotions portrayed by the characters.
Backstreet Rookie Episode 9 Release Date
The Backstreet Rookie episode will be aired on the 17th of July 2020 at 9 am ET on iQYI. The series will go on for 16 episodes and will the finale episode be broadcast on the 8th of August 2020.
