Boruto Episode 166 Release Date, Recap, Spoilers, & Where to Watch?: The last episode of Boruto was kind of average, wasn’t it? Just when we think the series is going to pick up the pace it lets us down. That is Boruto in a nutshell. 5 good episodes followed by a really bland and predictable arc. But we really can’t expect much from a non-fighting episode. The animation was alright. Music is always good, so no complaints in that department. The backstory they showed us was good and can make you emotional.

The real thing to notice and to get hype about is the preview we got after the episode. It made one thing clear that in the next episode or 2 more episodes the mission is going to be completed, so that is something interesting to look forward to. So, it is safe to say that this episode was a setup for the next episode. But the thing with Boruto is that we get too many setup episodes and the action really struggles because of that.

Team 7 was caught up to the remaining thieves and Mugino, and Konohamaru started a surprise attack but were trapped by Higura. And to make matters worse Higura uses another forbidden Jutsu to trap them in the mud. But that forbidden technique started consuming his body which meant he would die. So we know that the primary purpose of Hiruga was to buy time for Asaka.

After that, the real plan of the Mist Shinobi was revealed. It turned out that the real reason they wanted to bring Hashirama Cell to the Mist Village was that they were promised that the Mist village would take care of all the orphans. And as all four of them were orphans that were their weak spot, and they agreed to it.

Meanwhile, just like Naruto, Boruto also uses his ‘Talk-No-Jutsu’ after hearing Hiruga’s past. It didn’t work as Hiruga refused to do what Boruto was asking. But, Hiruga had to cancel his Jutsu as he learned that Deepa is chasing Asaka. Deepa finds Asaka and is just a few steps away from catching Asaka.
