Congress Demands Cancellation of University Exams, Launches #SpeakUpForStudents Campaign

Congress Demands Cancellation of University Exams: The HRD ministry in an official statement said that university exams must be compulsorily conducted by September end, from then a huge outrage has been there among students many have been demanding cancellation of exams and revoke of this statement.

Relating to this Congress on Friday, 6th July 2020 launched a campaign #SpeakUpForStudents in this campaign they demanded a fee waiver and cancellation of University exams for the students raising concern over the effect of ongoing pandemic on the mental as well as physical health of the students. He also posted a video regarding this on his twitter handle

The Assam Congress on twitter said that the government wants to spread coronavirus among students by making it mandatory to give exams, while many congress leaders actively join the campaign on twitter.

Congress in a tweet said, “The student community has undergone immense mental stress over the last few months & the changing guidelines have had a multiplier effect on them. Govt should relieve them of this burden by cancelling exams & waiving fees for 6 months.”

Charan singh sapra quoted, ” India is 3rd in World #COVID__19 ratings… It seems @DrRPNishank @bpatwardhan wants to become Global topper. Final year students should not be used as Testing Kits by @narendramodi #SpeakUpForStudents.”

There is a huge backlash on this statement of the HRD ministry, students are outrageous and are demanding cancellation of the exams. Uday Samant, Cabinet minister of Maharahstra said that he has informed the government that it won’t be appropriate to conduct exams by sept. end.

On This issue all we can say that is it will be dangerous for students to give exams till september since India is recording more than 20,000 cases everyday.
