It was not because of a lack of emotions in the episode, it was due to the excess of it. The last episode of the anime was sort of overdramatic in very areas. The thing with Fruits Basket is that they make people emotional and excess of the emotions can really make something kind of cringy and that’s what exactly happened in the last episode.

In this episode, many things got into perspective. Like we got to know that Momiji’s younger sister knows about him and wants to be with him. Because his family has found stability in their life while keeping Momiji distant from them.
On the other hand, Tohru was shut down by Kyo when she was asking about Kureno. She still wants to help and head back to the Soma family house to know the truth. On the way, she finds Momiji’s little sister, and then they both enter the house to see who is playing the piano that they were hearing. And right here Momiji’s sister told Tohru that she can’t talk to Momiji.
Tohru tries to convince Momiji so that both the siblings can reconcile. But Momiji told her that his dream is to become a violinist so that his father and sister can come to the concert. And at that moment things got really dramatic, when all of them started crying. I can’t explain what was that, but it was sort of uncomfortable to watch that moment of the show.

Later Tohru asks some information about Aisa Uotani. Tohru explains Kureno that both Uo and Kureno should start talking again. All of this might be Tohru obsession not being able to see people not talking to each other when they are still alive, as she can never see or talk to her mother again. Kureno told her that this matter doesn’t concern her and she should leave and he is not going to see Uo anytime soon.

Fruit Basket Season 2 Episode 15 will release on July 27, 2020, in Japan. It will be available to the Indian audience the next day, which means on 28 July 2020. A new episode is released every Tuesday if there is no delay in the schedule.

Almost a minute-long preview of the next episode is out and we see that there is going to be a deep conversation between Tohru and Kyo in the next episode which might clear many things out. Both are sitting on the terrace at night and talking their hearts out with each other. We just hope something good comes out of it.
