While President Donald Trump has had the attention of the nation for the previous four years, his daughter and top aide, Ivanka Trump, has stealthily amassed her own accomplishments.
Trump’s effort has favourably influenced several aspects of American society, whether it was combating human trafficking or advocating for measures that promote women in the workplace.
Ivanka Trump’s most notable philanthropic achievements
- Supporting working-class families
In 2017, Trump collaborated with Congress to increase the child tax credit from $1,000 to almost $2,000 per kid and to broaden eligibility for the benefit. By 2019, approximately 40 million households have received CTC benefits, with an average payout of $2,200.
During yearly appropriations and budget legislation, Trump urged for child care funding to remain a primary priority. The president signed legislation increasing Child Care and Development Block Grants (CCDBG) from $3.9 billion to $5.8 billion.
During her father’s administration, Trump assembled politicians to discuss paid family leave, which has been extended to an additional eight million Americans in the previous four years. Trump is the first president to include a national paid leave program in each of his annual budgets, and he has campaigned for it in each of his State of the Union speeches.
- Strengthening the next generation of America’s workforce

Ivanka Trump advocated for her father’s signature of a memorandum to enhance access to high-quality STEM and computer science education for all American kids.
The Presidential Memorandum, signed in 2017, required the Department of Education to commit at least $200 million in yearly funding to make STEM and computer science education a priority in competitive grant programs, with over $600 million allocated since assuming office. Trump encouraged business leaders to invest another $300 million in computer technology and STEM education.
- Fighting human trafficking
Trump has collaborated with bipartisan politicians, business leaders, and the non-governmental organization (NGO) community to strengthen the United States’ leadership in combatting human trafficking. These efforts resulted in the passage of nine measures as well as historic financing for victim assistance.
Ivanka spearheaded plans to organize the historic White House Summit on Human Trafficking: Honoring the 20th Anniversary of the Trafficking Victims Protection Act of 2000 in early 2020.
