The Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2020 result will be declared tomorrow on August 21. Earlier, the result was slated to be announced today on August 20.
According to the latest update from Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA), the result will be announced at 12:30 PM tomorrow at its official website i.e. at kea.kar.nic.in. Students who are eagerly waiting for their KCET 2020 result will have to wait for one more day. Once announced, the result will be available for the students at kea.kar.nic.in, karresults.nic.in, cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.

The news has also been confirmed by the Deputy Chief Minister C N Ashwathnarayan through an official statement. He informed that the CET result will be announced on August 21 instead of August 20 due to some technical reasons.
Ashwathnarayan who is also the in-charge of the Higher Education portfolio informed that the fees and seat-matrix ratio will remain unchanged for the session 2020-21. It is done considering the ongoing situation due to COVID-19 as well as flood situation in the state.
Karnataka CET 2020 Result
The entrance exam was held on July 30 and 31 in paper and pen mode. Around 1.95 lakh students participated in the exam. As the exam was held amid COVID-19 pandemic, the COVID guidelines were followed and social distancing was maintained. The exam was held at 497 exam centers across the state.
According to the statistics shared by KEA, 1,75,428 candidates (90.23 percent) appeared for Physics, 1,75,337 (90.10 percent) wrote the chemistry paper, 79.90 percent for Biology, and 91.92 percent for Maths respectively.
How to Check KCET Result 2020
- Go to websites – kar.nic.in, karresults.nic.in, or cetonline.karnataka.gov.in.
- Press on the CET-2020 result tab.
- Key in your registration number, roll number, and other login credentials.
- Click on Submit
- The result will be displayed on the screen.
- Download and take a print out for future references
The candidates who would be able to clear the KCET 2020 examination will then go for counseling round. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the authorities have decided to hold the counseling process in online mode only. It will be done after NEET and JEE counseling. However, the exact date of counseling hasn’t yet been announced by KEA.
Karnataka Common Entrance Test Result 2020
Earlier, the KCET 2020 answer key was released on August 4 by KEA. Karnataka CET is the state level entrance exam for admissions to 204 engineering and pharmacy colleges in the state of Karnataka. The examination is held every year in paper and pen mode.
