He is the founder and CEO of My Pillow Inc, a pillow, bedding, and slipper manufacturing company. He has also founded the Lindell Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides treatments and other services to drug addicts. Also standing to his credit is a self-published book about his addiction and his relationship with God.

Lindell is often in the news with his name often getting linked to various controversies because of the fact that he is a prominent supporter of and advisor to the former president, Donald Trump.

After Biden’s victory over Trump in the 2020 US presidential election, Lindell played the role of financier and supporter to Trump’s attempts to overturn the election result. He also spread defamatory conspiracy theories about the presidential elections of 2020 being fraudulent.

He has also been an active promoter of the toxic plant extract oleandrin, touting it to be the alternative cure for Covid-19.

Significance of religion in Lindell’s life

Lindell’s gambling addiction emerged in his teenage years. In his twenties, he became a cocaine addict and this addiction worsened when he switched to crack cocaine in the 1990s. Lindell had also incurred a lot of gambling debts by this time. All of the aforesaid issues caused Lindell’s wife to file for divorce. Lindell has been quoted saying that he achieved sobriety through prayer in 2009. A staunch evangelical Christian, Lindell has also penned the story of his recovery from drug addiction and his relationship with God in a book titled What Are The Odds? From Crack Addict To CEO.

Philanthropic contributions

During MyPillow’s early days, Lindell made donations in cash and kind to the Salvation Army,  Union Gospel Mission, and other organizations.

He also founded the Lindell Foundation, which aims to aid drug addicts to deal with their addiction. The foundation has spread its wings over time and included cancer victims and veterans in its outreach. 

The Lindell Recovery Network was released nationwide in 2019 to help addicts connect with other people and organizations. This is to accelerate the recovery process. The network has also connected itself to 3500 centers that are faith-based. In keeping with Lindell’s own religiously guided path to recovery from drug addictions through prayer.
