And in this, she comes across GLOW’s director Sam Sylvia and is confronted with his uncivil behavior and his unconventional working manner. Ruth discovers that Sylvia had employed her former best friend, who is a retired soap opera actress Debbie Eagan as a lead in this show. The tensions between the two women began when Ruth had an affair with Debbie’s husband, Mark, who she later divorced, but ever since then, there has been a rift between the two friends.
