No Game No Life is based on the light novel of the same name written by Yū Kamiya. The first season of the anime came out in 2014. No Game No Life Season 2 Plot
The show is based on two siblings Sora and Shiro who have never lost a single game and are known as “Blank Gamers”. One day both of them are summoned by God himself through E-mail. After accepting the invite both of them are transferred into another dimension where all the disputes are settled by games. Now Sora and Shiro eyed their way to the top and through various games, they are going to dethrone the god himself. The whole anime is a psychological battle where one competitor tries to outmaneuver the other one.
The next season should cover the 4 and 5 as in the first season we got volume 1,2 and 3 and in the movie, we got volume 7.
No Game No Life Season 2 Release Date
The first season of the anime came out in 2014 but there hasn’t been any official announcement yet. The thing is the main source material of the anime was on a hiatus for about 2 years but it might get resumed really soon, so there is hope that season 2 might be on the cards. The main source was on a hiatus because one of the artists of the manga was caught tracing and the company had to deal with a lawsuit that was not confirmed but rumors were still there. The company was able to deal with the lawsuit and after that, the source material should have been resumed but that was not the case and we don’t know why. There was also a meme a year ago where we saw a poster of Shira and Shinro and everyone thought that it was about season 2 but all the rumors were blown away by the authorities.
There are some rumors that we will get a movie before season 2 so we will have to wait and see about that authenticity of this rumor.
Considering how big of a hit No Game No Life was when it was out there should not be any problem in making season 2 unless they have problems with the source material itself. We will say that season 2 is either being negotiated or in the early stages of work where they still can’t release any information to the public.
