Born on April 18, 1988, in Tampa, Florida, McEnany grew up in a family of Republicans and attended the Academy of the Holy Names, a private Catholic high school in Tampa. She earned a degree in international politics from Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service and was also a Phi Beta Kappa honor society member.
After graduating from Georgetown, McEnany earned her Juris Doctor degree from Harvard Law School, where she was the Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy editor. She worked as a producer and commentator for Fox News and CNN before joining the Republican National Committee as a spokesperson in 2017.
McEnany is a frequent guest on cable news programs and is known for her defense of the Trump administration and conservative policies. She is also the author of the book “The New American Revolution: The Making of a Populist Movement,” published in 2018.
