Donald J. Trump was aboard a plane that landed suddenly in New Orleans after experiencing engine trouble last weekend, Politico reports.

A source tells the outlet that one of the plane’s engines failed as the plane crossed the Gulf of Mexico en route to West Palm Beach, Florida, where President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate is located.

Last Saturday, just minutes into the flight, the pilot made the decision to turn the plane around and return to its point of origin, the New Orleans airport.

In Louisiana last weekend, Trump attended a fundraiser for the Republican National Committee, Politico reported.

However, the 45th president is safe and sound. Early Sunday morning, he landed safely in West Palm Beach after changing planes.

President Trump has not yet commented on the matter.
