The lawsuit accuses Hillary Clinton, the Democratic National Committee, and their cohorts of “rigging” the 2016 U.S. presidential election through the vicious smear campaign.

According to the former president, Hillary Clinton and her cohorts orchestrated an unthinkable plot that shocked the conscience and undermined the nation’s democracy in the run-up to the 2016 presidential election. In concert with one another, the defendants maliciously conspired to create the false impression that their Republican opponent, Donald J. Trump, colluded with a hostile foreign power.”

According to the lawsuit, the actions taken in furthering their scheme – falsifying evidence, deceiving law enforcement, and exploiting highly sensitive data sources – are so outrageous, subversive, and incendiary that even the events of Watergate pale in comparison.

Reuters reported that Donald Trump, who defeated Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election, alleges ‘racketeering’ and a ‘conspiracy to commit injurious falsehood,’ among other charges.

Attorney Jeff Grell, who specializes in racketeering cases, said Trump may have waited too long to bring his claim. Civil racketeering claims have a four-year statute of limitations, but there is usually disagreement over when that period begins.
