The Punjab State Bumper Rakhi lottery 2020 result was announced today i.e. on August 21 (Friday). The Punjab State Lottery department conducted the draw at Camp Office, Ludhiana. The results are now available and can be accessed from the official website at punjabstatelotteries.gov.in.

As per the result, the first prize winner is ticket number B315094 which bagged a whopping Rs 1.5 crore. The second prize-winning ticket numbers are A786493, B504062, B415342, B107036, and A173536 which bagged Rs 10 lakh each.

Only one person will get the first prize while five people will get the second prize. On the other hand, the third prize (2.5 lakh), fourth prize (Rs 50,000) and fifth prize (Rs. 20,000) will each be given to 20 people.
400 people will get the sixth prize of Rs. 5000 while 4400 people will get the seventh prize of Rs. 1000. 1 lakh people will get the 8th prize of Rs. 250. The total amount of Rs 5.78 crore is being distributed as the prize money today.

Also known as the Punjab state New Year bumper lottery, its ticket costs Rs 290. The cost includes extra charges for postage and packaging. The lottery scheme consists of 20 lakh lottery tickets which contain series A and B. The series then, have been numbered from 000000 to 999999 each.

Established in 1968, the Directorate of Punjab State Lotteries is a branch of the Finance Department of the Punjab Government. The branch is located in Chandigarh. According to its website, the department of Punjab State Lotteries has been established with an aim of mobilizing non-tax revenue for the State Government. The revenue thus generated is then further used for various Welfare Schemes across the state. Apart from this, it also prevents people from getting into illegal activities of gambling.
