Sensex Nifty Today: Stock market: Sensex trading above 42500, boom in all sectors: Today, on the first trading day of the week, i.e. Monday, the stock market opened up. Bombay Stock Exchange’s major index Sensex opened up 503.93 points (1.20 percent) at 42393.99 level. 

At the same time, the National Stock Exchange Nifty started with a gain of 135.85 points (1.11 percent) at 12399.40. Following this, the Sensex rose 650 points to a record high of 42,566.34 at the start of trading on Monday due to positive signals from global markets and substantial investment flows from abroad.

The index has recovered the entire loss in the year 2020. It closed at 41,306.02 on January 1, 2020. The impact of Joe Biden’s victory in the US election was visible. The stock market was closing sharply for the last five trading sessions. 

The Sensex has reached its 10-month high. According to analysts, further market volatility will continue. Hence investors should be cautious. Last week, the 30-share BSE Sensex gained 2,278.99 points or 5.75 percent.

Top nine companies rise in market capitalization.

The market capitalization (market cap) of nine of the top 10 Sensex companies rose by Rs 2,30,219.82 crore last week. HDFC Bank was the biggest gainer. Barring Reliance Industries, nine of the top 10 companies, saw a rise in market capitalization during the week. 

Reliance Industries retained the first position in the list of top 10 companies. It was followed by TCS, HDFC Bank, Hindustan Unilever, Infosys, HDFC, Kotak Mahindra Bank, ICICI Bank, Bharti Airtel, and HCL Technologies.

State of heavy stock

Talking about the big stocks, Aajvipro, Infosys, HCL Tech, Britannia, and Shree Cement started at a fast pace. At the same time, shares of JSW Steel, Tata Steel, SBI, and SBI Life opened on the red mark.

Monitoring of sectoral index

If we look at the sectoral index, then all the sectors opened on the green mark today. These include banks, financial services, private banks, metals, realty, PSU banks, media, FMCG, pharma, IT and auto.

This was the condition of the stock market during the pre-open

During the pre-open at 9.02 am, the Sensex was up 238.62 points, or 0.57 percent, at 42131.68. The Nifty was up 123.50 points, or 1.01 percent, at 12387.

The market had closed on the green mark on the previous trading day

The stock market had closed higher on the previous trading day on positive global cues. The Sensex gained 1.34 percent to end at 5518.90 points at 41893.06, and the Nifty gained 1.18 percent (143.25 points) to close at 12263.55.

The market was open on Friday on the rise

The stock market opened higher on Friday. The Sensex opened at 41401.10, up 60.94 points (0.15 percent). The Nifty started with a gain of 36.35 points (0.30 percent) at 12156.65.
