War of the Underworld is divided into two cours. The first episode of Part 2 was released on October 12, 2019, and it ended on December 28, 2019.

Part 2 of The War of the Underworld was supposed to release on April 25, 2020, But it was delayed due to the Corona Pandemic. Almost every production house has suffered from Corona and A-1 pictures wasn’t any different.

Part 2 of The War of the Underworld will focus on so many stories at once. It will take place 6 months after the fight between Krito, Euego, and the integrity knight against the pontifex. The pontifex was defeated in the battle.

Meanwhile, The Dark God Vecta has been resurrected and the army of dark forces are going to attack the human empire. The Human Empire retaliate with an army of their own lead by Bercouli. But the power of the Human Empire is really low as Krito who had lost her hand and soul and also her dear friend in the battle. Alice who is alongside her has lost her will to fight. With these two down the Human Army has dealt with a great loss to their chance of victory.

No matter what you say the part 2 is gonna be gritty, dar and the action will be top-notch.

Will the Dark emperor attain the Priestess of Light which he desires? Or will the Human Force will stop him?

Sword Art Online: War of the Underworld: Episode Count

It was revealed that Season 3 will have 4 cours and Alicization covered first 2 cours and it had 24 episodes the War of the underworld will have the same amount of episodes.

Since the first cour of Part 2 is already over and It contained 15 episodes the second cour will have 11 episodes and will run for somewhat of three months. Part 2 of War of the Underworld is titled as final season but news of season 4 being renewed is surfacing so fans shouldn’t get confused by the title.
