The Rain is a Danish post-apocalyptic web television series created by Jannik Tai Mosholt, Esben Toft Jacobsen, and Christian Potalivo. The series premiered on Netflix on the 4th of May 2018 and, by far, has come in for a season 2 as well. On the 30th of May 2018, Netflix announced the renewal of season 2, and it was aired with six episodes on Netflix on the 17th of May 2019. However, in June, there was an announcement that the Rain’s final season would be released in 2020, and today, we will know more about the upcoming season.

In June, Netflix confirmed that The Rain series would be renewed for a third and final season. This announcement confirmed that the series would air anytime in the year 2020, and we finally have a release date for The Rain season 3. The final season of the series will be broadcasted on Netflix on the 6th of August 2020. This news was confirmed on a Facebook status that read, “Survival Squad: We’ll see you in 2020 for a third and final season.” Yes, get excited. The final season is just a few weeks away!

As we all know, The Rain follows the story of 2 Danish siblings named Simone and Rasmus. Who is stuck within a bunker because of the deadly virus caused by the Rain and has wiped out almost the entire human race in Scandinavia. Both the siblings left the bunker six years later, searching for other survivors and hoping for a safe place to live. However, season 2 ends at a cliff-hanger, and many questions have to be answered, which will hopefully be answered in The Rain season 3.
