Watch The Rubin Report- Ron DeSantis episode
On a recent episode of the Rubin Report, host Dave Rubin talks about DC elites, criticising the way Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is currently handling the Covid Pandemic, among other topics including inflation, food shortages, etc. Rubin discussed the newly restored indoor mask mandate imposed in Philadelphia, and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ vicious response to the mandate.
Rubin said the imposition of the mandate is “complete and utter nonsense at this point.” “If you are a Philadelphian”, he continued, “whether you work at the cream cheese factory, or you clean the Rocky Statue, over up at the top of the stairs, you should not listen to this. These people do not deserve your attention, and your respect any longer. If you would like to wear a mask in Philadelphia, then wear a mask. We’re past two years, from two weeks ago, to flat in the curb.”
“No Floridian will be restricted as long as I sit in the chair”
“Let’s talk about fighting back”, Rubin said, before proceeding to play a clip of Ros DeSantis at a news conference, talking about mask mandates.
In the clip, the Florida Governor was saying, “So just let me say it very clearly to all Floridians, you just saw Philadelphia impose an indoor mandate. You’re going to have potentially some of these other ‘Deep Blue’ jurisdictions go back to restrictions and mandates, You look what’s happening in Shanghai, they have everybody under a brutal lockdown. So I just want to be very clear, as long as I sit in the chair in which I sit, no Floridian will be restricted, mandated or locked down in any possible way”, basically quashing any potential for Covid-19 restrictions in Florida getting approved by the state. The Governor made this statement in response to Philadelphia restoring the indoor mask mandate in light of the sharp rise in new cases.
