A Starz Original drama series named P-Valley is based on the lives of employees working at a strip club. The club called ‘The Pynk’ is situated in Chucalissa, Mississippi, however, it is a fictional city.
Among the lead characters of the series, one is a wannabe and fame-thirsty rapper ‘Lil Murda’. J. Alphonse Nicholson has played the character of Lil Murda. He is a stereotypical, hyper-masculine black male character who is struggling to be famous. However, he isn’t afraid of taking any step be it dangerous, to get where he wants to be.
According to Nicholson, Lil Murda is yet exploring himself as he is a complex and multi-layered character. Meanwhile, he added that people will get to explore the character by themselves.
Who is J. Alphonse Nicholson?
Nicholson is an actor and drummer who hails from Greensboro, North Carolina. He enrolled in North Carolina Central University’s theatre program in 2008. However, dropped out to focus on his dream of becoming a professional actor. In order to achieve his dream, he relocated to New York City in 2013 to find better opportunities for roles on stage and screen as well.
