Code Geass Season 3 Release Date, Preview, Cast, And Other Details: The live stream unveiling program revealed a new anime and a mobile game for the Code Geass franchise six days ago. The new anime series is titled ” Code Geass: Z Lelouch of the Recapture.” This event also revealed a new upcoming mobile game titled Code Geass: Genesis Re; CODE. It is a smartphone game that will let you play as Lelouch, Akito, and other characters from the anime. It is amazing news for all the fans that have been waiting for the announcement of the third season for so long. Many fans had lost hope for a new season but a few months earlier the rumors of a new season sparked again. And on Saturday those rumors were confirmed.

Code Geass: Z of The Recapture Plot

The story will continue right from the end of Code Geass: Lelouch of the Resurrection. At the end of season 2, we saw Lelouch dying but in a post-credit scene, we saw a scene that indicated that he might be alive. Saying anything else might spoil the whole anime for you, so we will leave it here for now.

Many people are confused whether this upcoming series is a direct sequel or an alternative timeline. So, basically, there are two different Code Geass timelines: the show and the movies. The show’s timeline ends after R2. The recap movies, on the other hand, changed a few events along the way and that let Re;surrection be a sequel to the movies’ version of R2 events. This new thing should be a sequel to Re;surrection, so it’s part of the “alternate timeline” of the movies and not the original show.

Code Geass: Genesic Re;CODE Plot

The smartphone game will feature a brand new story. It is an original story from writers. The staff is saying that it is “the official sequel to the Code Geass franchise.” The cast of the game includes Shun Horie, Yuki Takada, and Yumiri Hanamori. Sunrise, Okochi, and Taniguchi are handling the story of the game. CLAMP is taking care of character designs and JORO is developing the game. The game will launch in spring 2021. This implies that it will launch in mid-April-May next year.

A 2-minute preview was released which shows you the basic design of the game. It also shows you the main characters and shows you a glimpse of the gameplay and characters. The game looks promising and if done right can be a major hit between all fans.
