The candidates for the North Carolina Republican primaries include Jennifer Banwart, Lee Brian, Leonard Bryant, Ted Budd, Drew Bulecza, Marjorie K. Eastman ,David Flaherty, Benjamin Griffiths , Kenneth Harper Jr., Pat McCrory, Charles Moss, Lichia Sibhatu , Debora Tshiovo, and Mark Walker.

Rene Borghese, Marty Cooke, Carlton Ellerby, James Gaghan, Len McBride and Jon Warren.
Leonard Bryant ran for election to the U.S. Senate to exemplify North Carolina. He missed the Republican primary on May 17, 2022. Leonard served in the U.S. Army from 1988 – 2020. Marjorie K. Eastman ran for election to the United States Senate to illustrate North Carolina in the Republican primary on May 17, 2022. She served in the United States Army from 2002 to 2012. Her career adventure contains working as an author, speaker, and independent consultant for Longbow Six, LLC. Earlier she was the director of communications at NET Power, a senior business development manager at Lockheed Martin, and a commander and intelligence officer with the U.S. Army.
McCrory missed the Republican primary on May 17, 2022.McCrory first secured election as governor on November 6, 2012. In 2016, he ran for re-election 2016 but was overthrown by Roy Cooper from Democrats in the general election on November 8, 2016. He ran for governor in 2008. He lost to Bev Perdue (Democrats). Perdue did not attempt re-election in 2012. Her lieutenant governor, Walter Dalton, ran for the Democrats, encountering McCrory in the general election, which McCrory won. After that, he became the first Republican to take the seat in 20 years. McCrory performed as mayor of Charlotte from 1995 -2009. In April 2013, New York Times indexed McCrory as the ninth-conservative governor in the country. He gained a victory in the election to an at-large seat on the Charlotte City Council, succeeding re-election two times and serving as mayor pro tempore. He was elected mayor of Charlotte, North Carolina in 1995, ultimately administering seven terms.

Cheri Beasley is running for election to the U.S. Senate to depict North Carolina. She was the judge of the North Carolina Supreme Court. She assumed office in 2012. She left office before December 31, 2020. She entered the North Carolina Supreme Court first as an associate justice in 2012. She was appointed by Gov. Bev Perdue. Gov. Roy Cooper nominated Beasley to the office of the chief justice to succeed Mark Martin on February 12, 2019, she accepted the position on March 1. Before being appointed to the North Carolina Supreme Court, she was a judge on the North Carolina Court of Appeals from 2008 – 2012 and a judge for the 12th Judicial District from 1999 – 2008. She was the assistant public defender for the 12th Judicial District from 1994-1999. She came to be the first black woman to be elected to any statewide office in North Carolina without being first nominated by a governor.
James Carr Jr. ran for election to the U.S. Senate to denote North Carolina. He missed the Democratic primary on May 17, 2022. His skills constitute being an IT consultant and he possesses a CPA in corporate finance.
Constance Johnson, also known as Lov ran for election to the U.S. Senate to embody North Carolina. She missed the counseling primary on May 17, 2022. Her experience comprises working as the publisher of CityPolitical News and as the president of the Black Legislative American Caucus (BLAC). Johnson is a public administration scholar governing through BLAC and Johnson Public Administration.

Marcus Williams failed in the Democratic primary on May 17, 2022. His expertise incorporates working as an attorney at a private practice, and as an Assistant Public Defender for the State of North Carolina from 2001 to 2006. He worked as an executive director for Pennsylvania Legal Services from 1996 to 2000 and as an executive director for Legal Services of the Lower Cape Fear, and as a law clerk from Southern Minnesota Regional Services from 1976- 1983.

Primaries are state-level and local-level elections that take place before a general election. North Carolina employs a semi-closed primary system. Parties determine who may vote in their respective primaries. Voters may select a primary ballot without affecting their unaffiliated reputation.
