Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon Release Date: Fan-favourite Inuyasha spin-off anime Yashahime release date just got confirmed and it is closer then anyone had expected. VIZ Media just released a new teaser of the upcoming anime revealing the major cast of the anime and on the other side, the official Yashahime site revealed the official release date of the anime. Fans were really excited when 3 months ago VIZ Media official twitter page revealed that a spin-off series from Inuyasha will be coming in the near future.
Viz also confirmed that they have the rights to digital and home video. Basically 100% confirmation that we’ll be receiving a dub. The plot of the movie really gave the idea that the original characters of the anime will not be in the spin-off and it can be good or bad, that really depends on your perception.
Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon Plot
The half-demon twins Towa and Setsuna are separated during a forest fire. Towa, while searching for Setsuna goes through a tunnel that lands her in modern-day Japan. So, Towa is raised by Sato(Kagome’s brother) in modern-day Japan, while Setsuna is raised in Feudal Japan as a demon hunter. Ten years later the tunnel reopens again and both sisters reunite again, but Setsuna has lost all her memories of her past life. So, both sisters accompanied by Moroha have to travel between these two eras to recover their lost past. This journey will not be easy as there will be enemies throughout and Towa still has to deal with her demons too, Their journey is going to be hard, gritty, emotional and one to look out for.
Just to keep things more simple for original fans, Moroha is InuYasha and Kagome’s daughter. The twins, Towa and Setsuna are Sesshomaru’s daughter and both of them are half-demons, and Sota and Kagome’s family raise Towa after she is lost in the Modern-Day Japan.

Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon Release Date
As the official site of VIZ media just revealed the release date of the anime, the anime is set to be released on October 3, 2020, on the YTV/NTV network in Japan. The Worldwide release date of the show is yet to be revealed. But considering that VIZ Media has the streaming rights and licenses of the anime in North America too, it will soon be announced for a worldwide release.

The series will be directed by Teruo Sato(Mobile Suit Gundam), With Rumiko Takahashi handling the character designs. Katsuyuki Sumisawa will be the in-charge of scripts and Kaoru Wada will be the composer.
