Chip Roy, aka Charles Eugene, is a politician serving as the US representative for Texas’ 21st congressional district. He is also an American attorney and a member of the Republican party.

Chip was born on August 7, 1972, in Bethesda, Maryland, and was raised in Lovettsville, Virginia. He lived in a conservative family where his parents, Don and Rhonda Roy, supported Ronald Reagan. They helped to shape Chip Roy’s political views.

Roy did his graduation from Loudoun Valley High School and later received a bachelor of science in commerce in 1994 from the University of Virginia. Roy later received a master of science in information systems in 1995.

Roy also worked as a resident dorm assistant for a year, where he met future pro football players Tiki and Ronde Barber. After graduation, Chip worked as an Investment Banking Analyst for three years.

Chip pursued a different career and enrolled at the University of Texas Law School. In 2003, he graduated with a Juris Doctor.
