Trump Media & Technology Group (TMTG) is a media and technology company started by former U.S. President Donald Trump in February 2021. Devin Nunes, a Republican U.S. representative, became the group’s CEO on January 1, 2022. It plans to launch a social network called Truth Social in early 2022.

TMTG plans to become a publicly-traded company by forming a special-purpose acquisition company (SPAC). TMTG and Digital World Acquisition Corp. (DWAC), a publicly-traded SPAC, announced on October 20, 2021, that they had entered into a definitive merger agreement, which would merge the two entities, allowing TMTG to become a publicly-traded company. 

In a press release, Trump Media & Technology Group announced that they are going to launch a Truth Social app in the February months of 2022. And as per the App Store listing, download Truth Social on February 21.

The TMTG aims to create a media powerhouse that can compete with the liberal media consortium and fight back against the “Big Tech” companies of Silicon Valley that silence opposing voices in America. President Donald J. Trump and many other conservative voices were silenced by “Big Tech” (Facebook, Twitter, and others) in January 2021. To counter this liberal bias and the danger of tech monopoly censorship, Donald J. Trump and TMTG plan to create a media and technology company with roots in social media, digital streaming, technology infrastructure, etc.
