The “Justice for J6” rally is being organised by Look Ahead America, a non-profit organisation led by Matt Braynard, who worked as an analyst for the Republican Party. Thousands of Donald Trump’s supporters, some associated with ultra-nationalist and white supremacist groups, stormed the US legislature on January 6 this year in an effort to overturn President Joe Biden’s election victory.

The rallies are being organised in order to show support for those who have been detained by law enforcement authorities in connection to the January 6 violence but have not been formally pressed with criminal charges.

Date, Time, and Location for the Justice for J6 Rally in Colorado

Date and Time: Saturday, September 25 from 9 AM to 11 AM

Location: West Steps of the State Capitol in Denver

The Department of Homeland Security shared an intelligence briefing memo to state and local law enforcement agencies, which warned of potential violence at the rally and on the day before. The memo did not identify a specific or credible plot associated with the event, but it also warned that individuals and small groups can “mobilize to violence with little-to-no warning, particularly in response to confrontational encounters with perceived opponents or calls for escalation by key influencers.” The protective fencing was restored around the Capitol by September 13, and multiple congressional offices were slated to close on September 17.

While most Justice for J6 rallies are scheduled for September 25, at least three will be carried out on Saturday. These include the original one, which is being held in Washington DC near the United States Capitol premises. Other rallies, scheduled for Saturday, are being organized in North Carolina and Washington state.
