Speakers for the Wisconsin Save America Rally

President Trump will come to Wisconsin to rally his supporters in support of America First candidates, including Tim Michels, who is running for governor.

The rally’s speakers, who have yet to be announced, will speak at 5:00 p.m. E.T.

According to the statement, President Trump will endorse Tim Michels for governor of Wisconsin and the Wisconsin Trump ticket. The 45th President’s visit comes only days before the state’s primary election on Tuesday, August 9.

Michels has recently acquired prominence for his position on election integrity. He left the prospect of decertifying Wisconsin’s 2020 election results earlier this month.

On his campaign website, Michels promised that as governor, “addressing the election disaster will be among the first things” he undertakes on his “very first day in office.”

The official list of speakers is not yet available. However, we will update this space as soon as it becomes available.

WHAT IS SAVE AMERICA PAC?

Former President Donald Trump founded the Save America political action group in November 2020, just days after losing the presidential election to Joe Biden.

Save America is a political action committee focused on leadership. It is a group founded by members of Congress or other political personalities to assist other candidates for federal and nonfederal positions.

On his campaign website, Michels promised that as governor, “addressing the election disaster will be among the first things” he undertakes on his “very first day in office.”

Former President Donald Trump founded the Save America political action group in November 2020, just days after losing the presidential election to Joe Biden.

Only $210,000 has been donated to 42 House and Senate candidates running for office in 2022 by Save America. The little amount is due, at least partly, to campaign finance restrictions that limit how much the PAC can give to federal candidates, with a maximum of $5,000 per candidate.

Trump allies in Congress, as well as several primary challengers to Republicans who voted to impeach or convict Trump for his role in the January 2021 attack on the U.S. Capitol, have received donations.

Save America, for example, donated to Harriet Hageman, who is running against Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney. Joe Kent, who is running against Washington Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler. John Gibbs is running against Michigan Rep. Peter Meijer, and Kelly Tshibaka is running against Alaska Senator Lisa Murkowski.

Furthermore, Save America has given approximately $150,000 to over a dozen state-level candidates, including those in key states where Trump lost to Biden.

In Georgia, it gave $5,000 to David Perdue, a former U.S. senator Trump endorsed in the GOP gubernatorial primary. Trump chastised Republican Gov. Brian Kemp, up for reelection, for opposing Trump’s efforts to alter the state’s 2020 election results in his favor. Trump asserted that “Brian Kemp has failed Georgia.” In late May, Kemp defeated Perdue by 51 percentage points in the Georgia primary.

Save America also contributed $7,000 to Rep. Jody Hice, another Trump supporter who ran unsuccessfully for Georgia secretary of state against Republican incumbent Brad Raffensperger. In a controversial phone discussion in January 2021, Trump encouraged Raffensperger, the state’s top elections officer, to “find” enough votes for Trump to be certified the winner in Georgia.

The PAC also gave $1 million to the America First Policy Institute, a conservative policy think tank launched in April by senior Trump officials, and the Conservative Partnership Institute, founded in 2017 by former South Carolina Republican Sen. Jim DeMint. In January, Mark Meadows, Trump’s former White House chief of staff, became a senior partner with the Conservative Partnership Institute.
