Joe Biden Shares Video Of MTG Speech To Promote His Agenda

On Tuesday, United States President Joe Biden posted a campaign video promoting his legislative achievements by using clips from the speech of Republican Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (MTG).

In a recent Turning Point Action Conference, Green delivered a speech on how Biden has sought extensive public investment in social infrastructure and environmental programs, comparing Biden to Franklin D. Roosevelt and Lyndon B. Johnson.

In the campaign ad clip released by Biden on Tuesday, Greene said in her speech, “Joe Biden had the largest public investment in social infrastructure and environmental programs, that is finishing what FDR started, that LBJ expanded on, and Joe Biden is attempting to complete.”

The ad continues with another clip from Greene’s speech, “Programs to address education, medical care, urban problems, rural poverty, transportation, Medicare, Medicaid labor unions, and he still works on it.”

In response to Greene’s speech on Monday, the White House tweeted, “Caught us. President Biden is working to make life easier for hardworking families.”

The cheery soundtrack of the video hides Greene’s sarcastic tone. She gave a speech at the conservative conference at the weekend to attack Biden’s policy. But the President bounced back her plan by using her words from the speech to highlight his legislative accomplishments since he entered the office.

Biden tweeted the video and posted, “I approve this message.”

United States Representative MTG, recently removed from the Caucus House group, reacted to Biden’s new campaign ad on Twitter by sharing a full video of her speech at the conference and tweeting, “Be honest, Joe.”

The Biden campaign noted that the new video gained 10 million views in just three hours of release, and they are using it to generate online fundraising. As of Wednesday, it had been viewed 39 million times on all social media platforms and has become the second most popular video from Biden’s campaign after his reelection announcement video.

The President plans to promote his economic strategy to Greene’s state to underline what the Georgia Representative said about his economic initiatives.

Biden is about to visit Georgia to attend an event organized by a South Korean solar panel manufacturing firm in Cartersville to mark a $2.5 billion expansion of its manufacturing operations there. It is the project that the President frequently talks about in his speeches, emphasizing its location in Greene’s district, his major critic.

Through his agenda, Biden indicates his willingness to highlight the investments even in the Republican district that opposed his economic policies earlier.

Biden has been promoting ‘Bidenomics’ over the past few weeks marking his investments in various sectors, including manufacturing, climate, etc. His economic theory is expected to be a central agenda of the 2024 reelection campaign.

In June, Biden first adopted the theory when the administration was looking for a solution to Americans’ negative outlook on the economy and a way to issue credit for an economy that significantly moves in the right direction.
