Netflix is just about to drop a new crime thriller series called Fear city: New York vs. The Mafia. The show is intriguing, gritty, and investigative, and the fans are all pumped to know more about the series.

The series explores crimes and lives of the people in New York City, and the story is set in the early 1970s and 1980s. The story revolves around the five mob families set in this region that rose to power in the early 1920s, but they were brought together in The Commission by Charles Luciano. When Luciano was appointed as the chairman, the five families took the joint ownership of New York and its surrounding areas. The five families Bonnano, Colombo, Gambino, Genovese, Lucchese, and Chicago’s Al Capone and Buffalo family head, Stefano Magaddino, were on the Board of directors to oversee the United States.
These families have enormous power, and hence they carried Illegal drug trades and organized crimes, but when their energy and foothold became intense in the 1980s, the FBI decided to take them down their throne, all the families at the same time. Sam Hobkinson directs the series, and he told Rolling Stone, You wouldn’t go there because everyone said it was too dangerous – and for that reason, it was exotic, New York was a dangerous place to be in the 70s and 80s.” He also said, “You wouldn’t go there, because everyone said it was too dangerous – and for that reason, it was exotic,”
