Taboo is a BBC television drama series that is produced by Scott Free London and Hardy Son & Baker. The series initially aired on BBC One in the United Kingdom on the 7th of January 2017, and FX in the United States, the series aired on FX on the 10th of January 2017. The filming of the second season was supposed to begin in 2018, the series creator Steven Knight mid- 2017 said, I’m trying to write it as quickly as I can, I would say we would hope to be shooting it, early next year.” But nothing came about the TV serial as 2018 came and went, seeing that Steven Knight has a busy schedule and is also the brain behind Peaky Blinders. Taboo Season 2 Plot, & Trailer
The writer of Taboo Steven Knight has given us more insights into what he is planning for season 2. He said, “In my mind, explosive stuff is going to happen, which will be great, there’s a great destination for it, but I don’t know if we’re in a position to talk about the actual details of it.” As we saw season 1 end with James and his surviving allies setting sail for America, Knight also said further that with this, the show “heads west and becomes a little bit more narcotic, more opium-affected” and more drama can be expected in the second chapter of Taboo.
