Vivek Ramaswamy urges economic independence from China.

In the 2024 presidential race, Ramaswamy is one of numerous contenders vying for the Republican candidature. The others are Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, former President Donald Trump, former Vice President Mike Pence, and Senator Tim Scott from South Carolina.

At a town hall held at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina, Ramaswamy gave a speech. People eager to hear Ramaswamy discuss economics, the nation, and the hopes of his younger generation for America filled the tables.

Early in his speech, Ramaswamy declared, “Our moral standing on the global stage is our greatest asset.”

Additionally, Ramaswamy maintained optimism an hour later at the conclusion, having discussed the risks associated with progressive policies, the economic challenge posed by China, and other subjects.

The 38-year-old Ohioan, Ramaswamy, claimed that the country is still developing and has endless potential.

He stated, “Our nation’s best days will still be ahead of us,”

Entrepreneur Ramaswamy, an immigrant’s son, claimed that progressive objectives, sometimes called “woke,” are ineffective for the country. He referred to the conflict as a “war with a fringe minority.”

On February 24, 2024, South Carolina will hold its first-ever primary in the South. Which candidate wins the South Carolina primary will significantly impact who the party nominates for president.

According to Ramaswamy, the government has overreached itself to the point where it is necessary to dissolve departments like the Department of Education.

Ramaswamy pledged to remove the “managerial class” from power and establish a more efficient government if elected. Ramaswamy declared, “We are going to get in there and shut them down.”

Ramaswamy asserted that the nation’s borders needed to be guarded and pledged to employ the military to see that through.

Throughout most of his hour-long address, Ramaswamy warned that America’s reliance on Chinese goods threatens its future. He said, “We have to declare economic independence from China.”

He claimed that the climate change agenda is a fraud since it is solely driven by Chinese economic interests rather than having anything to do with the environment. Ramaswamy stated, “Abandon the climate cult.”

Ramaswamy continued that drilling for fossil fuels, fracking, coal, and nuclear power is necessary for the American economy to prosper.

According to him, the country requires a leader from a younger generation. He stated that “a revival of national pride in the United States of America” is required for the nation.

Ramaswamy also claimed that younger people are searching for identity and a cause. He discussed faith, family, patriotism, and hard work as American values that are important to the country and essential to its prosperity.

What the nation needs, according to Ramaswamy, is a “pro-American movement” that rejects affirmative action and honors achievements. He added, “Meritocracy, that’s what it means to be an American.”
